CW511L

CW511L (chemical designation CuZn38As, historically referenced under British Standard BS 2874 CZ112 or German DIN W.Nr. 2.0272) is a high-zinc, duplex (α + β) brass engineered specifically for dezincification resistance (DZR). Defined under European standards including EN 12164 (rods for free machining), EN 12165 (forging stock), and EN 12167 (profiles), CW511L is formulated with 60.0% to 62.0% copper, a zinc balance, a tightly controlled maximum lead content of 0.20%, and a critical trace addition of Arsenic (0.02% - 0.15%).
