C27400
UNS C27400 (standardized under ASTM B36, ASTM B135 for seamless tubes, and ASTM B927 for rods and bars; commonly known as Yellow Brass, 63% or cross-referenced as CuZn37 / CW508L in European systems) is a versatile copper-zinc alloy formulated with 61.0% to 64.0% copper and a zinc balance. Sitting near the threshold of single-phase alpha and duplex microstructures, C27400 provides an optimal balance between the high ductility required for deep drawing and the structural rigidity needed for general engineering components.
