CuZN35

CuZn35 (standardized under European Norm EN 12164 / EN 1652 as CW506L, and cross-referenced internationally as UNS C26800 or British CZ107) is a single-phase (α) wrought alpha brass formulated with 64.0% to 66.0% copper and a zinc balance. With a tightly restricted maximum lead content of 0.10%, CuZn35 sits precisely in the upper middle range of cold-forming alpha brasses, bridging the gap between Cartridge Brass (CuZn30/33) and Yellow Brass (CuZn37). Possessing a homogeneous face-centered cubic alpha crystal structure, CuZn35 provides an ideal combination of high cold-forming ductility and increased tensile strength, making it one of the most versatile alloys for deep drawing, spinning, bending, and spring-temper stamping.
