CuZN36

CuZn36 (standardized under European Norm EN 12164 / EN 1652 as CW507L, historically referenced under German DIN W.Nr. 2.0332 or British BS 2874 CZ108) is a versatile single-phase (α) wrought alpha brass. Formulated with 63.0% to 65.0% copper and a zinc balance with a tightly restricted maximum lead content of 0.10%, CuZn36 is engineered specifically for severe cold-forming, multi-stage deep drawing, spinning, and complex bending operations. Maintaining a homogeneous face-centered cubic alpha crystal structure at room temperature, CuZn36 offers high ductility and malleability, balancing excellent cold-formability with increased tensile strength and rigidity for structural stamped components.
